Chef Kimberly Brock-Brown
Award winning Chef Kimberly Brock Brown, CEPC, CCA, AAC has over 35 years of experience within the culinary arena. Born in Chicago, IL Chef Kimberly’s culinary journey has taken her to work in kitchens in TX, SC, GA, and NC. Also being the featured Pastry Chef at the James Beard House in New York City. And as an invited Chef in Serbia, the Bahamas, South Africa, Turkey sharing her culinary experiences and expertise.
A regular guest chef on a Charleston’s ABC TV program, Chef Kimberly uses these 4-6 minutes to inform and educate on healthy cooking techniques and the latest trends. Author and Contributor of several books with subject matters addressing where are all the female and minority Chefs and discussions on the leadership qualities the women possess in their varied careers are the topics that she holds dear.
Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to open a wholesale distributing company and start her own catering and consulting business.
Chef Kimberly is currently enjoying her 2nd elected term as the Southeast Regional Vice President of the American Culinary Federation which encompasses 9 states, 2 territories and 4 countries. She is the 1st African American female to serve on the National Board in its 91 years.
John Carroll
John Carroll is president of Unlimited Performance, Inc. in Mount Pleasant. He is the former president of the board of the Dee Norton Lowcountry Children’s Center and served as president of the Mount Pleasant Business and Professional Association. He was the first layperson to serve on the Clergy Personnel Advisory Committee for the Catholic Diocese of Charleston. His book Sales Illustrated: 68 Sales Lessons from Everyday Life is available in three languages and his approaches have attracted attention around the globe, including articles appearing in Chief Executive China magazine, Charleston Regional Business Journal and The Catholic Miscellany.
John currently serves on the board of LifeWorks Charleston and is the founding board chair of Camp Rise Above, providing summer camp experiences to children facing life-threatening illness and life-challenging situations. He and his wife Lori have two grown daughters and live in Mount Pleasant.
Vickie Waller
For over thirty years Vickie has helped businesses in a wide spectrum of industries to expand their thinking and increase profits. Many companies including PepsiCo, Arby's, and Bed Bath and Beyond have benefited from her enthusiastic leadership. She has also been a successful entrepreneur, having run an executive placement firm for 8 years and a boating business for 9 years, among other ventures.
Vickie earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Economics from Charleston Southern University. In addition, she is a certified Economic Development Finance Professional and FastTrac Facilitator. She has over 18 years of experience in operations managing 250+ people and has graduated over 600 entrepreneurs from FastTrac.
